W.A.T.C.H. CO-OP
Williamson Area Teachers of Christian Homeschoolers
WATCH CO-OP is a teaching co-op, which meets every Friday morning for approximately three hours. WATCH is a volunteer organization and, while it provides a variety of learning experiences to enhance our children’s lives, it is not school. Our program year consists of two semesters. The fall semester runs from the first week of September through to the last week of November. The spring semester begins in January and ends in the last week of April. Family programs as well as field days, graduation, SAT testing, field trips and rehearsals may also be scheduled.
This co-op is for homeschooling families with at least one child that is in structured kindergarten or higher grades. Accommodations are made for nursery through preschool. In order to participate, a parent must teach or assist during the class day. These assignments are determined at our planning meeting and by the panel of officers. Upon joining the co-op, serious commitment to the weekly schedule, co-op guidelines and programs is mandatory. (Arrangements may be made in the event of a family illness.)
Members must be able to agree with and sign our statement of faith, waiver, and commitment form to participate in the co-op. Applicants will be added to the member list in the order in which applications are received and approved. An interview may be scheduled before acceptance.
